Feb. 5 (UPI) — Cara Delevingne will make her West End debut in the spring.
The model and actress, 31, will play Sally Bowles in a production of the musical Cabaret.
Delevingne will replace singer and rapper Self Esteem, who is scheduled to give her final performance March 9.
Delevingne will make her debut March 11 at the Kit Kat Club at Playhouse Theatre in London and perform through June 1.
Luke Treadway will play the Emcee.
Cabaret features music by John Kander, lyrics by Frank Ebb and a book by Joe Masteroff. The musical originally opened on Broadway in 1966 and was adapted as a 1972 film starring Liza Minnelli.
“There are no words to explain the excitement I have to return home to make my stage debut in such an iconic role. I am so inspired by the brilliant actors who have played Sally in past productions around the world and in this one in the West End. I cannot wait to be a part of this brilliant cast and production,” Delevingne said in a statement.
As an actress, Delevingne is known for playing Enchantress in Suicide Squad. She also starred on the series Carnival Row, Only Murders in the Building and American Horror Story: Delicate.
