CDMX for Taboada – El Financiero

After 26 years of governing the capital of the country, the left of the PRD and now of Morena, will lose their main bastion and in a domino effect it will spread throughout the national territory starting with the elections on June 2, and although this does not means that they necessarily have to lose the Presidency now, there is no doubt that Morena’s permanence in power will be very ephemeral in relation to, for example, the hegemony that the PRI established for more than seven decades.

Morena’s main enemy is themselves and this is clearly observed in CDMX, where the Morena tribes fight for every inch of the metropolis in order to maintain their preserves of power that, according to them, they have won hard over the years. last five years.

The struggle prevails from the heads of the Morenista movement in which Martí Batres, Clara Brugada and their subordinates make their strength felt in each of the mayor’s offices of the capital, although, the most serious thing about this is that not all of them pull equally to the cause of the presidential candidate of the Together We Will Make History coalition, made up of Morena, PT and PVEM.

Everyone defends their interests and on the eve of the end of the current administration, the confrontations become bloodier, to the detriment of their own political project that has allowed Santiago Taboada to place himself in the anteroom of the head of Government of Mexico City. .

Before the second debate that Clara Brugada, Santiago Taboada and Salomón Chertorivski will hold, there is a winning inertia of the PAN member over the official standard bearer and this will surely be reflected in this second exercise of verbal fencing that will reflect in its proper dimension the sizes of the three candidates.

But beyond the capabilities of the three candidates, we will say that there lies a whiff of defeat for the ruling party, the poor management of Martí Batres who navigates between ineptitude and permanent lies to remedy the most pressing problems of the capital, for example, the The issue of water contaminated with oil that floods the mayors governed by the opposition such as Benito Juárez and Álvaro Obregón, is a forceful element to assert that the reign of Morena and Remoras is close to ending.

Although the head of the capital’s government assured that the problem of contamination in the drinking water network was overcome, reality immediately denied it with the testimonies of the residents of both jurisdictions who suffer firsthand the effects of the stinky water. , yellowish and poisoned.

There are more fuels in the CDMX drinking water network than in the Dos Bocas refinery, and it is also a reality that we are facing a water crisis of unsuspected scope and in the face of which, the authorities believe that by denying it it will be solved by art. Magic.

Batres has systematically denied the emergency shortage of the vital liquid, as well as the contamination of the drinking water network and this, far from dampening the spirits of the affected population, encourages anger against the official.

And this is what happens in other issues such as public insecurity, environmental pollution, the degradation of urban infrastructure, unemployment and the disaster in public transportation such as the Metro.

With the issues of water, transparency and the fight against corruption, the three candidates for the leadership of the capital’s Government will hold on to the ropes to win the second debate this coming Sunday, however, on these points is where the Morena government has its greatest weaknesses.

I do not see how Clara Brugada can, for example, defend the point of corruption, given the accusations that exist against her for the contracts awarded in Iztapalapa to her own subordinates or the indications of inexplicable enrichment that occurred precisely during her management at the head of that jurisdiction. .

López Obrador’s presidency has been characterized by being the most opaque in recent years, even to the level of trying to disappear the INAI, so how will the ruling party’s candidate defend her top boss on the issue of transparency.

The electoral radiography in the 16 mayoralties of the capital with a view to the June 2 election is contrasting and depending on the polling house, the winners are outlined, however, it must be emphasized, there is permanent disappointment and irritation against Batres and company and this will take its toll in the elections to be held in 44 days.
