Cel-LOU-brating Chicagoland's finest: Lou Malnati’s Pizzeria wants to honor teachers with free pizza

CHICAGO  — Why give your favorite teacher an apple when you can give them a yearlong supply of free pizza instead?

In honor of Teacher Appreciation Week, Lou Malnati’s Pizzeria plans to offer teachers across Chicagoland a chance to win free pizza for a year.

Beginning Monday through May 3, students, parents and fellow administrators across the greater Chicagoland area are encouraged to nominate their favorite K-12 teacher.

Over 80 local teachers will be celebrated in Chicago, Indianapolis, Milwaukee, and Phoenix. Of the 80 finalists, Lou Malnati’s Pizzeria will award 10 teachers a free medium cheese pizza per week for a full year.

The finalists will also receive a $250 pizza party package for their school.

The 70 Honorable Mention Teachers will receive a $100 Lou Malnati’s Pizzeria gift card.

Those who nominate teachers are asked to write 100 words or less explaining why their favorite teacher deserves recognition.

Teacher Appreciation Week is May 6-10. Lou Malnati’s Pizzeria has 60 Chicagoland locations, with eight more locations in Arizona, seven in Indiana, and 5 in Wisconsin.
