A confrontation between soldiers and alleged criminals left a balance of ten dead in Tocumbo, Michoacan. as confirmed by the State Attorney General’s Office.
The fatal victims were allegedly hitmen of the Jalisco New Generation Cartel (CJNG).
The CJNG has an important presence in Tocumbo, Michoacán, where itand dedicated to extorting producers avocado and red fruits.
According to the official version of the State Prosecutor’s Office, military personnel were attacked by alleged hitmen, so the soldiers repelled the attack. After the exchange of gunfire, ten alleged criminals were killed.
To stop possible reprisals by the CJNG, law enforcement forces deployed a security device by land and air. Mainly security tasks are carried out in the municipalities of Cotija, Tocumbo and Jiquilpan.
The search for others involved in the confrontation continues by soldiers and police.
