‘It was misunderstood and generated many reactions’: AMLO on information from María Amparo Casar
At the start of the morning conference this Monday, President Andrés Manuel López Obrador said that the director of Petróleos Mexicanos (Pemex), Octavio Romero, will delve again into the case in which María Amparo Casar is involved.
“The whole weekend there were many reactions and it was misunderstood. They even made a manifesto,” López Obrador explained.
AMLO criticized those who expressed their support for the director of Mexicans Against Corruption and Impunity (MCCI) and assured that it is a public matter.
“They allege, instead of getting into the depths of whether or not there was corruption, they turn to the Transparency Institute, which is their work, to say that privacy was violated. As if corruption is valid as long as it is kept secret,” he added.
