In an interview with Marcos Bulques, from Conexão Entrevista, Dona Déa, Paulo Gustavo’s mother, did not hesitate to address the controversy involving Yasmin Brunet. At the time, the veteran’s statements would not have pleased Globo, who canceled the panel with those eliminated from BBB on Domingão com Huck.
She expressed her satisfaction with the result of BBB 24, highlighting the representation through Davi Brito. “I loved it (the BBB24 result)! I wanted to see Davi, in fact the three (finalists). It is very important to have a black person (champion), after so much suffering. Even I almost got beaten up because of him,” she joked.
When asked about possible regrets regarding what she said to Yasmin Brunet, Dona Déa denied it. “I would say it all over again and much more. I’m not afraid, I’ve been through so much, that everything that happens, talking about me, talking because I said it, no, I don’t even worry”, said the famous woman.
However, Dona Déa considered the weight of her statements and how not everything was disclosed. “If it was a serious thing, that I had done a great injustice, maybe I would reflect and even ask for forgiveness, but saying everything I said, I said a lot more, which didn’t appear on television”, guaranteed the presenter.
According to herself, Dona Déa’s statements caused the cancellation of the show with those eliminated on ‘Domingão com Huck’, but she really has no regrets. “I even gave a book called Monkeys to someone (Yasmin Brunet) to learn about black people. I would say it all over again, I’ll say it here, I’ll say it tomorrow, I’ll say it the day after tomorrow, I’ll say it. My life is a constant fight,” she emphasized.
