“I tell my political adversaries that they are not going to bend me, they will not cause a dent with these cowardly acts, my spirit and my determination is to continue with this fight for a better Puebla and a better Mexico so that all our families live without fear,” declared the government candidate for the Better Course for Puebla alliance, Eduardo Rivera Pérez, when issuing a statement after the attack received on Saturday night in the subdivision where he lives.
The PAN member indicated in a public statement that he holds the federal and state governments responsible for any situation that may happen to him or his family, since they have not provided the necessary conditions to guarantee security towards the June election day.

She stressed that from the statements of her neighbors, who received physical attacks on their face and body, it is clear that the attack was against them, since the criminals asked for their name and for the politician and said that when he arrived “we will receive him with a blow to the head. This information and the way in which the events occurred is an obvious sign that it was an attack directly against me. There cannot be, nor do I admit, any other interpretation; I make a strong call to the President of the Republic, Andrés Manuel López Obrador, to the governor of the state, Sergio Salomón Céspedes, so that they comply with their constitutional obligation to guarantee peace and the conditions for the development of a democratic process; “I hold the authorities responsible for the integrity of my family, myself, my neighbors, my team and each and every one of the candidates of the Better Direction for Puebla alliance,” he said.
He added that the rule of law and not terror should be the norm in town and in the country.
He also stressed that fortunately his family is well, although with the psychological and trauma effects of an event of this nature.
