The Secretariat of Public Security and Social Defense (SSPDS) reported that the Security Forces are taking steps to capture the suspect already identified as having committed the homicide. According to initial information, the male victim, who was a hospital employee, was found with gunshot wounds and signs of violence. Another injured person was rescued, but his condition was not disclosed.
The main line of investigation into the motivation for the homicide points to a crime of passion. Teams from the Military Police of Ceará, the Homicide and Personal Protection Department of the Civil Police of the State of Ceará and the Forensic Expertise of the State of Ceará (Pefoce) were called in and carried out the first surveys on site.
