Ethanol prices rise in 20 states, shows ANP | Economy

The average prices of hydrous ethanol rose in 20 states, remained stable only in Amazonas and the Federal District and fell in five states last week. The data is from the National Petroleum, Natural Gas and Biofuels Agency (ANP) compiled by AE-Taxas. At gas stations surveyed by ANP across the country, the average price of ethanol rose 1.05% compared to the previous week, from R$3.81 to R$3.85 per liter.

In São Paulo, the main producing and consuming state with the most evaluated stations, the average price rose in the period from R$3.67 to R$3.70. The biggest percentage increase in the week, 5.61%, was recorded in Pernambuco, where a liter went from R$4.52 to R$5.95. The biggest percentage drop, of 6.08%, occurred in Rio Grande do Norte, with a liter going from R$4.77 to R$4.48.

The minimum price recorded this week for ethanol at a gas station was R$2.99 ​​per liter, in Minas Gerais. The highest price, of R$5.93, was recorded in Rio Grande do Sul. The lowest state average price, of R$3.66, was observed in Mato Grosso, while the highest average price was recorded in Amapá, of R$ 4.99 per liter.

In the monthly comparison, the average price of biofuel in the country rose 7.24%. The biggest increase in the period, 17.31%, was recorded in Mato Grosso. The biggest drop in the month, of -4.68%, was observed in Rio Grande do Norte.
