Europeans: the RN removes from its list a Mahorais candidate who had made xenophobic and misogynistic remarks

It was controversial. The National Rally removed Wednesday from its European list the Mahorais Saidali Boina Hamissi who had made very controversial remarks, particularly about women, said a party source.

“We have (…) made the decision that this candidate is not on the list,” this source told AFP, confirming information from franceinfo, specifying that “his Facebook messages” revealed by the press “date from a long time ago”.

During a trip to Mayotte, the leader of the deputies of the National Rally, Marine Le Pen, had announced that this departmental representative of the party, aged 63, was joining the list driven by Jordan Bardella“probably in an ineligible position, unless voters decide otherwise.”

“It is a signal especially which is launched in Mayotte, to say for the first time historically, there is a Mahorais candidate who will enter” on a list, she declared on Outremer 1st.

“Conspiracy theories” and misogynistic comments

The government reacted strongly to the appointment of Saidali Boina Hamissi who made conspiratorial and racist remarks, “has admiration for Putin” and “supports polygamy”.

“As usual with Marine Le Pen and the National gathering, (…) they have allies of whom they cannot be sure of the substance of the remarks they make: this gentleman visibly has an admiration for (Russian President Vladimir) Putin, he supports polygamy,” denounced the Minister Delegate for Overseas, Marie Guévenoux.

Saidali Boina Hamissi “participated in conspiracy theories, made extremely serious and dangerous remarks about women on the supposed submission of women in relation to their spouses”, for her part castigated the government spokesperson, Prisca Thevenot.

In 2017, the man, an engineer by training, relayed already a publication calling to “kill” “this shit” of illegal immigrants living in Mayotte, accompanied by an image supporting Marine Le Pen for the presidential election, a Celtic cross, and the image of a woman with a pistol.
