JOLIET, Ill. — Joliet fire crews were out Friday in rescue boats searching for 37-year-old Robert Long who has been missing for over a week.
Family and friends canvased the area, handing out flyers to drum up any information on his disappearance. No one has heard from Long since April 11 as he was last seen that day walking along the Des Plaines River.
The 37-year-old is a father of seven and works at Kellogg who loves to dance.
His mother, Jewell Robinson, says he has three kids who are set to graduate eighth grade and is desperate for answers.
“He is not going to disappear like this. It has been eight days, it’s been eight days, and my heart is so heavy right now,” Robinson said.
Joliet Police say they have been canvasing the area extensively but have not gotten any leads and request the public’s help.
