The victims of the floods in Rio Grande do Sul will receive clothes, blankets and other goods seized by the Federal Revenue, announced this Friday night (3) the Minister of Finance, Fernando Haddad. Through social media, the minister informed that the goods will arrive in the state in the next few days.

“In the coming days, dozens of tons of clothes, blankets and other goods seized by the Federal Revenue Service will arrive in RS (Rio Grande do Sul) and will be distributed with the support of trucks and helicopters. My condolences to the families of the victims”, posted the minister on the social network X (formerly Twitter).

This is the third time in a month that the IRS has donated clothes to victims of climate events. On April 4, the organization donated 12 tons of women’s items (dresses, coats, pants, skirts and shorts) to victims of the rain in EspĂrito Santo. The goods were valued at R$540 thousand.
