Concert will be the first of eight planned in the Gala Concerts series in 2024Disclosure
Next Saturday (27), the Feso Pro Arte Cultural Center will host the first musical performance of the series of eight Gala Concerts shows, by the Feso Pro Arte Orchestra (Ofesp). The performance will be in string quartet and piano. The repertoire will feature compositions by Villa Lobos (Quartet n.1), Mozart (Quartet n.15), among others.
The official opening of the Feso Pro Arte Orchestra season is scheduled for July. In 2020, during the pandemic, Ofesp underwent restructuring and the musician Leonardo Pinto took over as artistic director. Since then, the orchestra has performed frequently, providing a new musical aspect for Pro Arte, with social projects open to the public of different age groups.
“The Feso Pro Arte Orchestra is the tip of the iceberg, that is, the final product of an entire musical structure offered by Pro Arte. We have the Children’s Musicalization project; the Music for Youth project, which brings together teenagers with a more advanced musical level and is taught by professors from the UFRJ School of Music; and, finally, the Orquestra Feso Pro Arte, which works with professional music. This integration of projects also happens when the orchestra joins the Gala Concerts season”, said director Leonardo Pinto.
