Rio – In a balanced game, Bragantino and Flamengo were tied 1-1, this Saturday (4), in Bragança Paulista, for the 5th round of the Brazilian Championship. Rubro-Negro went behind on the scoreboard in the first half with a goal from Pedro Henrique, but sought the result with Bruno Henrique in the final stage.

With the result, Flamengo reached eight points and moved up to fourth place. Bragantino is third, with nine. Rubro-Negro returns to the field next Tuesday (7), at 9pm (Brasília time), against Palestino, away from home, in the Libertadores.

Flamengo comes back and seeks a draw in the final stage

Flamengo entered the field with a more vertical game plan, but there was little danger for goalkeeper Cleiton’s goal. Rubro-Negro exchanged many passes without objectivity, found it difficult to create and forced crosses without much success. Bragantino, in turn, seemed more confident about their actions. The team from São Paulo increased its score and caused problems.

Bragantino almost got into trouble when the referee sent off Luan Cândido for a foul on De La Cruz, but VAR avoided the expulsion after identifying the Uruguayan’s foul on Pedro Henrique. The defender responsible for preventing Massa Bruta from being one less on the field was also the scorer of the goal that put the São Paulo team ahead on the scoreboard.

Tite changed Flamengo in the first half with the entry of Luiz Araujo in place of Igor Jesus. However, the team still faced the same difficulties. Rubro-Negro got scared again at the beginning of the second half with De La Cruz, but the crossbar prevented the Uruguayan from scoring. Bragantino responded in kind with Eric Ramires.

Balance marked the final stage. Bragantino and Flamengo hit and missed at the same rate, and at one point even tied in shots. Rubro-Negro, however, arrived with more danger. Bruno Henrique had the chance to equalize, but goalkeeper Cleiton performed a miracle. However, at 33, he received a throw from De La Cruz and touched Cleiton’s exit to equalize the score and avoid defeat.
