The producer Dan Schneider has been famous for something else like his work on 2000s series such as Zoey 101 and Drake & Josh. Why Dan Schneider is suing ‘Quiet On Set’ producers?
The lawsuit was filed by the Schneider lawyersJana Moser and Richard McKie, against the producers of the documentary, according to Variety.
According to the copy of the document, cited by said media, Dan accuses them of defamation and of “damaging” his reputation due to the way in which he is presented in Quiet on Set“portrays Schneider as a hitman” through the voices in off and from the graphics:
“Although it is indisputable that two child sexual abusers in good faith worked on Nickelodeon shows, it is equally indisputable that Schneider was unaware of his abusehe was not complicit in the abuse, he condemned the abuse once it was discovered and, critically, he was not a child sexual abuser.”
Furthermore, it is noted that the documentary “falsely and repeatedly” insinuates that he is a child sexual abuser and committed crimes.
In a statement sent to Variety, Schneider wrote that producers only they used his image to have a larger audience:
“There is no doubt that sometimes I was a bad leader. I sincerely apologize and regret that behavior, and will continue to take responsibility for it. However, after seeing Quiet on Set and its trailer, and the reactions to them, unfortunately I have no choice but to take action. legal against the people behind this.”
