Araruama – On the 16th and 17th of May, the III Anti-Asylum Fight Week will take place in Araruama. Organized by the City Hall, through the Mental Health Coordination, the event will be held at Praça Menino João Hélio, in the Center, from 9am to 5pm.
The theme chosen for this edition was: “It is necessary to have resistance, science and emancipation!” Several activities are planned for the event, which is free and open to everyone. Among them: debate tables, lectures, educational games, dance workshops and local art.
According to the Mental Health Coordination, the objective is for the entire society to reflect on the social place of mental health users in the public network, establish a connection with the community and “value the person and not the disease”.
