Cabo Frio – In the early hours of this Monday (6), a woman was caught trying to steal an air conditioner from the headquarters of the Social Assistance Secretariat of Cabo Frio, located on Rua Florisbela Pena, in the Braga neighborhood.
The thief’s action was recorded in images by a member of the public, who, according to reports, found the movement in the area strange and went to find out what it was about. There, he caught the woman getting out of a car and trying to commit the crime.
After a few minutes, upon realizing that she would not be able to remove the device from the area, the woman returned to the vehicle and, in a frustrated mood, left the area. She even used a ladder during the action.
The images were widely disseminated in Whatsapp groups, however, it is not known whether the woman was apprehended, or whether, in fact, she managed to escape. Residents of the neighborhood claim that occurrences like this are ‘common’.
“Theft after theft, we can’t take it anymore. We ask the authorities for help,” said a resident of Braga, who preferred to remain anonymous.
Jornal O Dia contacted the city of Cabo Frio, asking if there was any record of the case, and is awaiting a response.
