On Friday, the 10th, it will rain heavily again in Rio Grande do Sul, according to the National Institute of Meteorology (Inmet). The forecast is that, between the 10th, 11th and 12th of May, more intense rain will hit the center-north and east of Rio Grande do Sul, including the north coast of the state and the south of Santa Catarina. During this period, rainfall volumes can exceed 100 millimeters (mm). The winds will change direction and will blow predominantly from the south.

“Between the end of Sunday (12) and Monday (13), gusts vary from west to south and then south, with speeds above 30 km/h. On Tuesday, 14, the winds weaken “, said Inmet in a note.

“It is important to highlight that the predicted volumes of rain could cause new disruptions in areas already affected previously. For this reason, Inmet warns and recommends monitoring and following the guidelines of the National Civil Defense”, he highlighted.

For this Thursday, the 9th, Inmet predicts cold and dry weather in the south of Rio Grande do Sul, with minimum temperatures varying from 4ºC to 8ºC in the coldest areas. In other regions of the State, there will be greater cloudiness and a little cold in the morning. Minimum temperatures can vary from 10ºC to 15ºC in the northern half of the State. In the morning, the capital, Porto Alegre, can register 13ºC.
