“Our reporter’s investigations show that there was no explosion in Tabriz and that anti-aircraft fire in the city was triggered by the sighting of a suspicious object. Reports say that the city in northwestern Iran is completely calm now,” the Iranian agency said.
Regarding the alleged explosion in Isfahan, the media claims that the noise heard was also from anti-aircraft batteries and that the situation is normal in the region.
“Sources also told Fars News Agency that three explosions were heard near an army military base in northeast Isfahan, central Iran. They also say that air defense was active in response to the flight of a small suspicious object over the city”, completed the report.
The information contradicts news released by an American TV channel that reported, this Friday, that Israel had attacked Iran, from unidentified sources in the United States government. Authorities from Israel, Iran and the United States have not yet officially commented on the matter, neither confirming nor denying what happened.
The world is monitoring the possible outcome of the conflict after Israel is attacked by Iran on its own territory. Iran, in turn, had retaliated against the attack on its embassy in Damascus, Syria, in early April.
