According to the Meteorological Service of the National Water Commission (Conagua), Mexico City expects temperatures above 30 degrees Celsius this Sunday. In addition, the Secretariat of Comprehensive Risk Management and Civil Protection said that 13 of the 16 municipalities are on alert for high temperatures between 12:00 and 17:00, so it recommended avoiding outdoor activities, as well as staying safe. hydrated and protect the skin.

For certain regions of the State of Mexico, temperatures above 35 and even 40 degrees are expected, according to Conagua.

In accordance with the air quality report in the Valley of MexicoAt 11:30 a.m., the air quality is bad, mainly in the north and east of the State of Mexico.

According to Civil Protection, this is the alert level in each of the municipalities:

  • Orange Alert, with maximum temperatures of 31 to 33 degrees: Álvaro Obregón, Azcapotzalco, Benito Juárez, Coyoacán, Cuajimalpa, Gustavo A. Madero, Iztacalco, Iztapalapa, Miguel Hidalgo, Tláhuac, Tlalpan, Venustiano Carranza and Xochimilco.
  • Yellow Alert, with maximum temperatures of 28 to 30 degrees: Cuajimalpa, Magdalena Contreras and Milpa Alta.
