Jockey’s comeback gathers pace with busy book of rides at Goulburn

Jockey Jaden Lloyd recently returned to NSW racing and has a solid book of rides awaiting at Goulburn on Tuesday.

Lloyd has five mounts at Goulburn, headed by Keysborough in the Goulburn Produce Class 1 Handicap (900m).

Trained by John Hawkes and his sons Michael and Wayne, Keysborough is a four-year-old gelding by I Am Invincible out of the mare Oscietra, a daughter of unbeaten champion mare Black Caviar.

Keysborough broke his maiden at Wyong at his latest start when scoring in good style over 1000m. He drops back to 900m in the Goulburn event.

Lloyd will also partner the Amanda Turner-prepared Mr Showman in the Kilpatrick Metal Recyclers Maiden Handicap (1000m), Maralago in the JCF Earthmoving Class 1 Handicap (1500m) for Anthony Cummings, Tears For Fears for Lee and Cherie Curtis in the Kirk’s Bridge Farm Benchmark 66 Handicap (1300m), and Proceed for Jason Attard and Lucy Keegan-Attard in the Goulburn Mulwaree
Council Maiden Handicap (1600m).

Mr Showman is yet to win from 13 starts but has been just behind the placings in his latest two starts. Maralago hasn’t done a lot this campaign and has only won one race from 22 starts but is capable of showing improvement.

Tears For Fears is third-up from a spell and has shown the talent to measure up in a race like she meets on Tuesday, while Proceed has shown improvement during this preparation.

Alysha Collett also has a handy book of rides at Goulburn, with the Anthony Warren-trained debut winner You Wish awaiting when she lines up against Keysborough.
