Abraham ‘N’, better known as ‘Don Rodo’ and brother of ‘El Mencho’could be released from prison in the next few hours, after a judge determined that he was not involved in the process early this Sunday, April 28.
A federal judge ordered the immediate freedom of Abraham Oseguera Cervanteswhom the Attorney General’s Office (FGR) considers to be one of the leaders of the Jalisco New Generation Cartel (CJNG).
After a hearing that lasted until the early hours of this Sunday, the defense from ‘Don Rodo’ confirmed this day the decision not to involve his client in the process, after it was determined that he was not there are enough elements to corroborate his participation in the crimes of which he is accused.
Given this, the judge added that there were a series of irregularities during the arrest of ‘Don Rodo’, older brother of Nemesio Oseguera Cervantes, ‘El Mencho’after being captured by the Armed Forces last Sunday, April 21, in the municipality of Autlán de Navarro, in Jalisco.
What crimes persecute ‘Don Rodo’, brother of ‘El Mencho’?
The brother of ‘Mencho’ would have been captured after the FGR accused Abraham ‘N’ of the crimes of illegal carrying of firearms and crimes against health, crimes for which he was arrested in flagrante delicto, since he did not have an arrest warrant against him. The FGR has not issued official communication in this regard.
It should be noted that the hearing was held at the Federal Criminal Justice Center, with residence in the federal prison of maximum security of Almoloya de JuárezState of Mexico, where ‘Don Rodo’ has been imprisoned since Tuesday.
That day, the FGR accused him based on criminal case 114/2024 and although in principle the judge declared the detention legal and gave him justified preventive detention, he now ordered his release.
