After the second presidential debatethere is still just over a month until the elections, and while people begin to define their voting intentions for the Presidency, as well as more than 20 thousand other positions, there are still key days for this electoral process.

Sunday, April 28, was the second Presidential debate, in which Claudia Sheinbaum, from Morena and allies; Xóchitl Gálvez, from the PRI-PAN-PRD alliance; as well as Jorge Álvarez Máynez, from Movimiento Ciudadano.

Each one presented a series of attacks against their opponents, in addition to offering some of their proposals related to the fight against poverty, care for the environment, infrastructure projects and economic growth. However, for thousands of people the debate was led by accusations throughout the event.

Over the last month, Xóchitl Gálvez, from the opposition bloc, will seek to get closer to Claudia Sheinbaum, who leads the preferences with 17 points of advantage, according to the most recent El Financiero survey.

What are the key dates in the last month of presidential campaigns?

For most citizens, there are four dates that must be taken into account related to the electoral process:

Sunday, May 19: Third debate

It will be the last opportunity for dialogue between him and the presidential candidates. With this, they will talk about more issues of national interest and they will try to make their proposals known to the citizens, as well as question their rivals.

The last debate will be at the Tlatelolco University Cultural Center, in Mexico City, and will be broadcast on open television, as well as on the social networks of the National Electoral Institute (INE).

Wednesday, May 29: Closing of campaigns

It is the last day on which the candidates for the Presidency, as well as the more than 20 thousand elected officials throughout the country, can carry out proselytizing acts and make their proposals known.

The Presidential candidates usually have big events in the main cities of the country. In addition, they serve as a last opportunity to convince people who are still undecided about who they are going to allocate their vote to.

Thursday, May 30: Beginning of the electoral ban

From this day onwards the ban begins, which means that no public person can promote the vote nor carry out proselytizing acts, since this would incur a crime.

This measure applies until Sunday, June 2, which means that no one can promote the image of the candidates.

Sunday June 2: Elections
