Kof sales and 13.5% flow increase in I-2024 – El Financiero

Coca Cola Femsa (Kof) reported that during the first quarter of the year its sales totaled 63,803 million pesos (mdp), which implied an increase of 11.2 percent compared to the same period last year.

“This increase was primarily due to solid volume growth, partially offset by the unfavorable translation effects of most of our operating currencies into Mexican pesos. Excluding currency translation effects, total revenues increased 17.7 percent,” the company detailed. company.

It detailed that its volume increased 7.3 percent to 1,8.6 million unit cases, driven by volume growth in most of its territories, including solid performance in Mexico, Brazil, Colombia, Guatemala and its South Central American territories, partially offset due to a decrease in Argentina, Panama and Uruguay.

He added that the operating flow registered an increase of 13.5 percent, going from 10,522 million pesos in the first three months of 2023 to 11,944 million pesos this year.

Ebitda was supported by a positive performance of operating income, which increased 11.6 percent to 8,617 million pesos, which is due to the fact that it was mainly driven by the growth of gross profit and efficiencies in expenses.

These effects were partially offset by the increase in operating expenses such as labor, freight and maintenance. In addition, the basis of comparison included a greater operating exchange gain in Mexico, as a result of the appreciation of the Mexican peso in the same period of the previous year.

The net profit of the controlling interest was five thousand 6 million pesos compared to three thousand 916 million pesos during the same period of the previous year, an increase that is mainly explained by the growth of operating income, along with a decrease in its comprehensive income of financing.
