Lafayette police will host a bicycle rodeo event to teach children bicycle safety at 9 a.m. June 8 at the Flatirons Church back parking lot, 201 Waneka Parkway, according to a press release from the police department.
Children age 12 and younger can take a road skills course, go through bike safety inspections and have lunch. Parents must accompany their children and will need to sign a release waiver form, which will be available the day of the event. Bikes and safety gear are also required, according to the release.
