Lakers Fans Are Pissed After Falling To 0-3 Against The Nuggets For Second Straight Season

The Los Angeles Lakers have fallen to an 0-3 deficit after losing Game 3 to the Denver Nuggets. The 105-112 loss followed the same script as the previous games between these teams, with the Lakers letting an early lead slip in the second half. Fans are furious after another Lakers season is looking like it’ll end in disappointment.

Lakers fans were calling their games against the Nuggets the same nightmare.

Fans called the Lakers garbage.

The Lakers were being criticized for their defeated body language through the third quarter when the Nuggets went on a run.

Fans have accepted that the Nuggets are just far better than the Lakers as an overall unit.

Many fans even joked about how the Nuggets are always extra motivated to beat the Lakers.

The fact that every game between these teams follows a similar chronology isn’t lost on fans.

It’s mindblowing that we’re at a point where LeBron James has lost 11 straight games against one opponent, with seven of these losses coming in the playoffs.

It’s hard to blame the Lakers struggles on either Anthony Davis or LeBron James. Davis was aggressive and put up 33 points with 15 rebounds, while LeBron put up 24 points, six rebounds, and nine assists in a strong overall performance. Even Austin Reaves stepped up to provide 22 points, but all other Lakers combined for 22 points. D’Angelo Russell scored 0 points, shooting 0-7 on the night.

The well-oiled Nuggets used their rotational superiority to overwhelm the Lakers, with four players scoring 20+ points. Aaron Gordon was their leader on the court with 29 points and 15 rebounds, as Jamal Murray put up 22 points and 9 assists. Nikola Jokic put up an efficient 24 points with 15 rebounds and nine assists, as Michael Porter Jr. had 20 points and 10 rebounds.

The Lakers Won’t Get A Miracle

It seems like the Lakers winning one game in this series would be tantamount to a mircale, let alone them winning it in seven games. There’s no way to conceive the Lakers beating the Nuggets four times in a row now, especially when we’ve seen how one-sided this rivalry has been over the last 18 months.

There isn’t much that LeBron James or Anthony Davis can do production-wise to help the Lakers. The Nuggets are beating them with four high-caliber players on their roster who are better than the entire Lakers rotation. In addition, the best player in this series is also wearing a Nuggets jersey, which has made just the talent-level of both teams be lopsided.

Moving on from the talent, the coaching seems to be leagues apart. Michael Malone has orchestrated one of the most efficient offenses in the NBA while having a defense that’s strong enough to keep them in winning situations. The Lakers and Darvin Ham have literally no response to this level of game-planning.

It shouldn’t be a surprise when the team with the best player, better rotation, and the better coach is about to sweep their opponents. However, the fact that the mighty Lakers with a generational GOAT in LeBron have fallen to this level is the actual surprise.
