‘Layín’, the mayor who ‘stole little’, runs for the third time to govern San Blas, Nayarit – El Financiero

For the intermediate local process of 2024, Hilario Ramírez Villanueva seeks to be municipal president for the third timenow for Nueva Alianza and Levante Nayarit.

Until 2022, the former mayor, former candidate for state government (2017) and businessman was fugitive from justice and linked to process for the alleged crimes of dispossession, improper exercise of functions, embezzlement and fraud.

This for the irregular sale of land of five hectares that belonged to the old San Blas airport, for an amount of 12 million 415 thousand pesos. Layín did not deliver the money to the treasury and it was learned that in reality the evaluation of the site was for 36 million pesos.

In 2023, Layín was arrested for attacking a woman and threaten a police officer in the municipality of Xalisco.

Unofficial versions indicated that the state police found the 55-year-old politician at the scene, in an alleged state of intoxication, on the roof of the home throwing tiles towards a woman with whom he presumably has a romantic relationship.

Among other issues because the politician is known, it was for giving a car to Rubya teenager who in 2016 was the best-known quinceañera in San Luis Potosí.
