Barra Mansa – Barra Mansa City Hall, through the Municipal Public Order Secretariat (Smop), informs that the level crossing on Rua Duque de Caxias, in the Center, will remain closed until this Thursday afternoon (2), according to the forecast reported by MRS, the concessionaire that manages the railway line. The interruption is due to track maintenance and paving adjustments.
During this period, Smop asks drivers to pay extra attention to traffic and look for alternative routes, such as: the level crossing on Rua Alberto Mutel, close to Ponte dos Arcos, or via the Viaduto Doutor Didácio de Souza Fonseca, in front of City hall.
“Pedestrian access is being provided via the Antiga Estação walkway, which connects Avenida Doutor Dário Aragão to Parque Centenário. However, in the case of elderly people and people with mobility difficulties, the concessionaire provided an employee to assist with the crossing”, informed the Secretary of Public Order, Captain Daniel Abreu.
