The Longmont Humane Society, 9595 Nelson Road, will partner with the national Bissell Pet Foundation on its spring Empty the Shelters event from May 1 to 15 to find homes for more animals.
During Empty the Shelters, Bissell helps pay for adoption fees, allowing shelters to charge $50 or less for pet adoptions. The program has helped more than 226,000 pets find homes across the country since 2016.
