Rio – Fluminense agreed, this Friday, the 19th, to renew Lucas Justen’s contract. The right-back’s new contract with the Rio club runs until December 2026. The old one was valid until the end of this year.

“I’m very happy. We worked hard for this. Not just me, but my family and my staff. It’s a feeling of great pride, a dream come true. I’ve dreamed about this since I was little,” said the player, just 21 years old. , to the official Flu website.

Justen is from Petrópolis and arrived at Tricolor at the age of 12. Among the achievements at the base are: Brazilian Under-17 Championship, in 2020; two-time Rio under-20 championship, in 2021 and 2022; and Copa Rio under-20, in 2023.

“When I was little, I got to take the field with Fred, in the 2010 title game. And now being here by his side, living with the players and living this dream is spectacular. I already had inspirations that came from Xerém and They came back here, like Marlon and Marcelo, who play with me today. For me, it’s a dream to live this and, who knows, to be able to be that inspiration for other Moleques from Xerém”, said Lucas Justen.

He debuted for the professionals last year, in Fluminense’s 1-0 defeat to Palmeiras, for the penultimate round of the Brasileirão. In the current season, he played five games and provided one assist.
