Minas Gerais – A 63-year-old man was arrested, this Monday (29), on a cassava plantation suspected of killing a colleague of the same age. The case took place in JaÃba, in the north of Minas Gerais.
The Military Police were called shortly after the homicide. When the military arrived at the scene of the crime, they found the victim already dead and with cuts on his face. Some witnesses reported the suspect’s identity and where he lived. The information is from the Minas Gerais newspaper “O Tempo”.
The police went to the elderly man’s residence, a cassava farm, but at first they did not find him. Soon after, the suspect was found hiding on his own plantation. To the police, the perpetrator confessed to the murder and claimed that everything happened after receiving a slap in the face.
According to the publication, the suspect and the victim lived in the same residence, but it was not clear what the exact relationship between the two was. The elderly man was taken to a regional police station.
