The senators Miguel Ángel Mancera (PRD) and César Cravioto (from Morena) had a clash on the night of this Thursday, April 25, in the Senate of the Republic, after a discussion that went from debate to shouting and pointing.
It was the coordinator of the Morena bench, Ricardo Monreal, who had to put himself between the two legislators to avoid any type of inconvenience, and although everything was ‘laughter’ for Monreal, the senators were angry.
The first to appear in the Senate session this Thursday was Mancera, who said that the PRD bench was against of the creation of Pension Fund for Welfaresince the substance and the form were something with which they did not coincide and they said that it could be something unconstitutional, and they gave as an example the attempt at a reform similar to Infonavit.
Minutes later he entered Cravioto, who emphasized Morena’s political advantage and how the opposition, by not approving the 4T initiatives, has lost governorships. Furthermore, he criticized that the opposition does not think about the people, and when answering questions from other legislators, a series of screams and demonstrations by legislators broke out.
Just after, Margarita Sánchez entered, who criticized Cravioto and accused him of irregularities in the reconstruction of Mexico City, which was assigned to him by the government of Mexico City by Claudia Sheinbaum, with an amount of 7.5 billion pesos.
César Cravioto came out to respond to the accusations, and said that when he was commissioned he rebuilt 6,000 homes and left another 8,000 under construction, and suggested that this “blow” was given more to Miguel Ángel Mancera, who was head of the Government of Mexico City when the earthquake occurred on September 19, 2017.
That’s where he came in Mancera on scene, who said that Cravioto is still being complained about for the money with irregularities and the lack of support that has not been delivered “in six long years”, a mockery of a gesture that Cravioto usually makes.
At that moment, and without microphones in the way, Cravioto motioned to Mancerawith which he suggested more comments against him, to which Mancera responded by standing up and going to his place.
Cravioto got up and they continued the discussionto the extent that Monreal and more legislators had to put themselves in the middle to avoid any comments.
