Maricá City Hall celebrates Labor Day with several free activities in the Center | Sissy boy

Maricá – Maricá City Hall held this Wednesday morning (1), an event to celebrate Labor Day with several free actions at Praça Orlando de Barros Pimentel, in the Center, offering legal and psychological guidance, provision of services health, sport, culture and beauty for the population, as well as course and job opportunities. The activities took place simultaneously in several tents set up in the central square.

Those who visited the site were able to register for job vacancies, seek information about the professional courses of the Qualifica Maricá program, learn about the initiatives of the Department of Social Assistance, update their flu, tetanus and hepatitis B vaccination records, check their blood pressure, take a glucose test, use oral health services, in addition to enjoying numerous sports activities, in addition to enjoying shows by the groups Tatudoemcasa and Banda Cult.

The Mayor of Maricá, Fabiano Horta, was present at the festivities, and highlighted the date as a celebration of the struggle of the working class. “It is very important to symbolically always have this day as a day of reflection. That’s why we’re here today, at this celebratory event, also showing that Maricá is a city that implements permanent policies to place the world of work as a protagonist in the construction of a city”, he said.

The Secretary of Labor, Alessandro Coutinho, stated that the event was designed to unite City Hall services in one place and attract families to enjoy the festive day. “Some City Hall bodies are here to provide these services that some people cannot use during the week. All of this is very important to us. This is the way we wanted to honor the worker,” he declared.

Haircut, manicure and eyebrow design

Haircut, manicure and eyebrow design services offered by Instituto Embelleze were also available. At the same location, the Department of Agriculture, Livestock, Fisheries and Supply distributed seedlings and dehydrated bananas.

In another tent, technology with virtual reality glasses, video games and interactive games from the Mobile Laboratory, an initiative of the Institute of Science, Technology and Innovation of Maricá (ICTIM), attracted the kids’ eyes. For the kids, an exclusive program, with a playground and themed dolls.

The festivities also included a belly dancing performance by students from the Senior Citizens’ Home, as well as a zumba class for everyone present.

Accompanying the students attended at the Casa do Idoso, the secretary of Policies for the Elderly, Amarildo Ribeiro spoke about the group’s participation in the event. “Our objective today is to have a party with the workers, and with those who have worked and produced a lot in this country, which is our elderly. So, that’s why we are here today offering the best we have, our dances, the our joy and our elderly people in full movement in Maricá”, he stated.

Also present at the action, the Secretary of Inclusive Policies, Clauder Peres, said that the initiative aims to bring the population closer to municipal management. “We can bring to people the services we already have and provide, which they often don’t know where to find. Maricá is a city that offers many opportunities, which are fundamental for social inclusion”, he pointed out.

Residents celebrate the festivities

Maria Inês Mota, 58 years old, who participates in the activities of the Casa da Terceira Age, stated that promoting the services provided by the departments are essential to attract the population. “I think the party activities are very valid. Workers need to be valued, especially in Brazil, where we have very scarce work environments in certain places. It is extremely important that people come and enjoy this day. Congratulations to the City Hall for promoting this event”, added the resident of Araçatiba.

Wilson Andrade, 43 years old, took his family and took the opportunity to get the flu vaccine. “I was passing by and took the opportunity to enjoy the party. I think this type of celebration is very important for the working class. It’s all very beautiful, I really liked it. I even brought the children to enjoy the day”, praised Wilson.
