Marília Mendonça’s family will hold a raffle for the singer’s guitar and donate the proceeds to people affected by the floods in Rio Grande do Sul. However, the action did not please all of the artist’s fans.

The information was confirmed by João Gustavo, brother of the eternal Queen of Suffering, on social media. He took the opportunity to reinforce that the attitude is to help those in need.

“About the raffle, the value of the raffle will be donated 100% to Rio Grande do Sul, and I also say that anyone who is against this needs to rethink their own values, a material good will never be more important than helping other people!”, he published on X, formerly Twitter.

“With the proceeds from the raffle we will buy a lot of water, even if we can’t send it on Friday with Murilo’s (Huff) trucks, we will find a way to send it to other people”, he stated, citing the singer’s boyfriend.

João also countered comments from country music fans who claimed that the musical instrument should stay with Léo, son of Marília and Murilo. “‘Ah, but it’s the only memory Léo has’. No, it’s not the only memory he will have, my nephew will grow up knowing that helping people is much more important than clinging to material goods, if I If I taught him anything other than that, I would be a bad uncle”, he added.
