Behind the complaint made by María José Suárez against a driver television, her husband, Mauricio Barcelata, shared some details of the legal process that they face.
This Monday, in conversation with Come the Joy, Maria Jose Suarez mentioned that over the weekend he filed a complaint with the Attorney General’s Office of Mexico City against Luis Fernando ‘N’ for the alleged crime of rape.
“I have the best lawyer, she is my sister. She has an association called Voices Humanizing Justice… I had to be silent for many years…no woman has to live what I have lived through these years.”
What happened to María José Suárez?
Although she did not give many details of what happened, María José Suárez mentioned that a couple of years ago she was drugged and raped by a driver.
“I had to remain silent for many years, it’s not worth judging… you can’t say what it feels like,” explained José Suárez.
After supporting her lawyer’s association, the presenter he made the decision to raise his voice of what had happened to her: “At one point I said ‘how can I help others if I can’t help myself?’”

María José Suárez revealed that it was drugged with scopolamine, a substance that leaves people without willpower and usually causes memory loss.
“There was a person who decided to violate me… it was very strong because at times you remember things… it makes me want to cry, yes I have a lot of anger Because, what need did I have to sit down with my two children to tell them that I am going to file a complaint because they raped me?
What did Mauricio Barcelata say about his wife’s complaint?
After the clip of María José Suárez talking about her complaint, Mauricio Barcelata briefly shared how they are coping as a family:
“We are trying to recover… these scars we are trying to turn into something better… what we seek is justicesimple and easy”.
The driver thanked his wife’s lawyer for the work and assured that They trust that the authorities support them with the process of complaintalso mentioned that his children are already aware of the situation.
“We are trying to educate two children with values, with strength, with respect before anything else… we have supported each other, we are going to get ahead,” said Mauricio Barcelata.
