Rio – Mel Maia, 19, and her boyfriend, João Maria Pereira, 18, had a romantic night on Saturday (27) during Seu Jorge’s show at Morro da Urca, in Rio de Janeiro. During the
eventthe couple, who have been in a long-distance relationship since January, exchanged passionate kisses.
João is a surfer, so the couple divides their time between Rio de Janeiro and Portugal. At the moment, the boy is in Brazil to spend time with his girlfriend, and the two were photographed by a paparazzo in a shopping mall in Rio, in March.
As they walked hand in hand through the shopping center in Zona Sul, they realized they were being photographed. Mel, friendly, made a heart gesture with her hands and posed smiling for the photos. In turn, the boyfriend smiled shyly.
The actress’ career began in 2010, when she was just five years old and decided to start attending theater classes. However, it was in 2012 that she achieved national recognition when playing the role of Rita in the first phase of the renowned soap opera “Avenida Brasil”.
His performance received much praise, standing out for his confidence and talent on stage. In 2013, she took the lead in the soap opera “Joia Rara”, giving life to the character Pérola, who represented the reincarnation of a Buddhist master.
In 2019, Mel Maia joined the cast of the soap opera “A Dona do Pedaço”, playing Cássia, a teenager who faces challenges when dealing with her father’s sexual orientation. Her most recent work was in the series “Vai na Fé”, in 2023, where she played the character Guiga, a digital influencer.
