Meta eliminates hundreds of bots against AMLO and Sheinbaum; Morena accuses Xóchitl of ‘dirty war’ – El Financiero

The national president of Morena, Mario Delgado, reported that the consortium Goaloperator of the Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp platforms, removed and deleted hundreds of accounts with which the campaign team Xochitl Galvez orchestrated a “war dirty” against President Andrés Manuel López Obrador and the Morenoist candidate, Claudia Sheinbaum.

“These are accounts that violated the community standards of those platforms,” he said, and that are “the result of the investigation carried out by the company in follow-up to the complaints and evidence presented by the Morena team on March 19,” he said.

For this reason, he celebrated that his meeting with the company executives “was a very productive meeting, in which we were able to verify the results of the dirty war tests that we presented a few weeks ago,” he explained.

After the follow-up meeting he held, the national leader highlighted that the pages were taken down for violations of Meta policies.

“These accounts were removed from the social network for present themselves in a misleading way and by increasing the popularity of content through artificial means. I hope that a good precedent is set to prevent these from continuing to occur. handling practices during the electoral process,” he explained.

Mario Delgado thanked Meta and his team “for the openness and response to the concerns of the Let’s Keep Making History coalition, given the observation of bad practices on their social networks by fake accounts”.


For this reason, “we celebrate that these accounts are now deactivated and we thank Meta for responding in a timely manner. With these measures we contribute to making the electoral process free and democratic,” he indicated.

Mario Delgado announced that he will continue to denounce the “dirty war” practices on social networks by the right. “As we have done every week, we will continue to denounce the lies and falsehoods used by the right on social networks,” he anticipated.

He reported that at the meeting he took the opportunity to denounce and deliver the corresponding evidence of new accounts that have joined the “dirty war” against the party in Facebookas well as evidence of anomalous behavior in the growth of Instagram accounts of opposition politiciansto which Meta promised to carry out the corresponding review.
