Motorist pepper sprayed twice during Erie road rage incident – Boulder Daily Camera

A motorist was pepper sprayed twice in a road rage incident in Erie on April 30.

According to Erie Public Information Officer Amber Luttrell, at 11:00 a.m., Erie police were dispatched to a road rage episode near Erie Parkway and East County Line Road.

Two motorists were observed outside their vehicles by a third driver, and appeared to have been shoving each other. The third, while in their vehicle, honked their horn.

In response, one of the on-foot individuals hit the passenger window and began approaching the driver’s door, said Luttrell. The third motorist used pepper spray on the individual and drove away.

According to Luttrell, the pepper-sprayed individual then got in their vehicle, followed the victim in a reckless manner, and was pepper sprayed again at a second location near Erie Parkway and Ambrose Street.

On May 1, officers issued one motorist a summons for menacing, disorderly conduct, reckless driving and harassment.
