Niterói – Niterói municipal guards collaborated with state public security forces in the arrest of two suspects who were traveling on a motorcycle in the wrong direction and at high speed on Avenida Jornalista Alberto Francisco Torres, this Monday (22), in Icaraí. The action also included the participation of the Integrated Public Security Center (Cisp).
The two men on the motorcycle were without helmets and the driver was riding without a driver’s license. As they passed a Municipal Guard vehicle, the suspects covered the motorcycle’s license plate, which caught the attention of the agents. A siege was mounted in partnership with the police forces and the two men were intercepted at the end of Estrada Fróes, in São Francisco.
Driver Álvaro Martinez Lahorgue, with 19 police records, and passenger João Vicente Bogéa Méxas were arrested and taken to the 79th Police Station (Jurujuba) to provide clarification.
