Italva – More than 1,000 horses were involved in the Worker’s Cavalcade, held by the Italva government at the end of the week, anticipating the May Day celebrations. Leonardo Orato Rangel (Popularly known as Léo Pelanca) classifies it as a remarkable moment: “It was the biggest cavalcade in the state of Rio de Janeiro; will forever remain in our memory.”
The Federal Highway Police (PRF) – Campos dos Goytacazes police station – provided full coverage during the two days of the event (Saturday and Sunday), following the mayor’s request. According to the PRF Communications Office (Ascom), there were roping and horse racing events at the Equestrian Center next to the federal highway – BR-356. The agents positioned themselves at strategic points, organizing traffic.
The highlight of the party took place on Sunday: “The long-awaited Worker’s Cavalcade took place, where more than a thousand riders gathered, traveling a six-kilometre route along the highway”, summarizes the PRF press office, which did not record any complications during the period.
