Barra Mansa – This Tuesday (30) National Women’s Day was celebrated and, to mark the date, the Municipal Secretariat of Social Assistance and Human Rights of Barra Mansa (SMASDH), through the Specialized Women’s Assistance Center (CEAM) and in partnership with Patrulha da Mulher, it carried out the first awareness campaign for the delivery of the ‘Pink Agenda’. The item contains 12 telephone contacts that women can call if they find themselves in a dangerous situation.
Participants in the action walked along Domingos Mariano and Joaquim Leite avenues, in the Center. The social worker and coordinator of CEAM, Liviane Martins, said that the walk initiative on this National Women’s Day came about with the aim of delivering the agenda to provide more guidance and security to women.
“It’s a small diary that can be carried in your bag and wallet, almost imperceptibly. If the woman feels vulnerable, she can immediately get in touch – said Liviane, adding that 200 pink diaries were delivered this Tuesday.
The Women’s Patrol was present helping with the escort to provide security. The municipal guard and Patrol coordinator, Alcilene Novais, highlighted that there was no need to stop traffic, but this is done when necessary.
“In this case, we accompanied the walk with the Women’s Patrol car, as this action is important and necessary for women to know that they are not alone and that they have numbers to contact if they need to. In addition to delivering the agenda, we are publicizing the CEAM equipment,” she said.
