Araruama – This Friday (19), the inauguration of the Multi-Sports Gymnasium at the Honorino Coutinho School, in the district of Morro Grande, took place. The new space, implemented by Araruama City Hall, through the Department of Education, will serve more than 570 students at the teaching unit.
The structure of the gym is large, covered and has bleachers. In addition, it has demarcations for the practice of various sports, such as futsal, handball and volleyball.
Shortly after the ceremony, two football teams from the “Milês Gol Rei Pelé” project took to the court for the first time, playing their first match in the gymnasium and receiving cheers from other students and event participants.
The construction of the space aimed to enhance sport, contributing to the integral development of students with the benefits it provides, such as: physical health, discipline, respect, teamwork and socialization.
