Pabllo Vittar revealed that he has already considered undergoing a gender transition. The singer and drag queen reported that she started hormone treatment in 2018, but quickly concluded that this was not her reality.
“I started hormonal treatment, but I realized that it really wasn’t for me, because there’s no way you can say: ‘Oh, so-and-so chose to be a bro’. No one chooses to be anything,” he said in an interview with Billboard Brasil magazine.
The drag queen said that she had several conversations with her friends, who highlighted the importance of being prepared to assume the identity of a trans woman. “That’s why I tell the girls: you deserve all the respect in the world, all the love in the world, because only those who are in your shoes know what it’s like to suffer prejudice,” she said.
Pabllo reported that even though she does not identify as a transvestite or trans woman, fans recognize the importance of their support. “I feel very blessed and very happy, because I want everyone to be respected.”
“It’s really bad when you go out on the street and people stare at you. You feel judged and oppressed in a space where everyone can go, but there you may not be respected”, added Vittar.
