Palladium Hotel Group arrives in the Middle East with Ushuaïa Unexpected Hotels & Residences – El Financiero

Palladium Hotel Group marks a milestone in its international expansion by announcing its arrival in the Middle East with the Ushuaïa Unexpected Hotels & Residences project, in collaboration with Al Marjan and Almal Real Estate Development, renowned developers in the United Arab Emirates.

The project, which attracts investment in excess of $100 million, will integrate a luxury hotel and branded residences on Al Marjan Island in Ras Al Khaimah. This is the first international foray of the iconic brand born in Ibiza, which is now expanding under The Unexpected Hotels & Residences collection, including the concept of branded residences.

The project facilities, located next to the Wynn Resort Island and overlooking the Arabian Gulf, will include a sophisticated Beach club, an exquisite restaurant and a captivating infinity pool.

Dmytro Starovoitov, Co-Founder of Almal Real Estate Development, said: “Our new development embodies Almal’s commitment to offering unrivaled luxury and sophistication in the realm of hospitality and entertainment. “We are excited to bring the Ushuaïa Unexpected Hotels & Residences brand to the UAE, introducing an innovative hospitality concept with unparalleled experiences.”

For his part, Arch. Abdulla Al Abdouli, CEO of Marjan, highlighted the project as a contribution to the future of sophisticated living in Al Marjan, strengthening its position as a premium destination.

Jesús Sobrino, CEO of Palladium Hotel Group, pointed out that this project represents a triple milestone for the company: its entry into the Middle East, the growth of an emblematic brand and the foray into the branded residences segment. He thanked Almal Real Estate Development and Al Marjan for their collaboration.

With the launch of The Unexpected Hotels & Residences, the Ushuaïa brand is reinvented while maintaining its innovative and exclusive spirit. The implementation of this new identity will be carried out gradually, culminating in the renovation in 2025 of The Ushuaïa Tower, which will be renamed The Unexpected Ibiza Hotel.

Thus, starting next season (2025), the iconic establishment in Playa d’en Bossa (Ibiza) will continue to surprise visitors with its unique proposal of accommodation, gastronomy and entertainment. Additionally, The Unexpected Al Marjan Island Hotel and The Unexpected Al Marjan Island Residences are expected to open in 2026, marking the brand’s first international project.
