Paty City Hall, through the Secretariat of Agriculture, Livestock and Rural Development of Paty do Alferes and in partnership with EMATER-RJ, is promoting the long-awaited Tomato Quality Contest and Agricultural Exhibition, at the Tomato Festival, aimed only at local rural producers. The competition is the most popular during the traditional Tomato Festival.
With the aim of valuing and recognizing excellence in the municipality’s agricultural production, the competition aims to bring together the best producers of tomatoes and other agricultural products, highlighting the quality and technique used in their production. The competition and exhibition have been a tradition in the municipality since 1979 and have been part of the Tomato Festival since 1988, thus being an important cultural and identity attraction in the most traditional festival in the region.
Registration will be open from April 29th to May 17th, from 9am to 4pm, and will be held at the EMATER-RJ Office, located at Avenida Paschoal Carlos Magno, 650 – Arcozelo – Paty do Alferes, it is important that producers take their personal documentation (identity and CPF). The Secretary of Agriculture, Livestock and Rural Development, José Renato invites all rural producers to participate in the competition: “The time has come for rural producers in Paty to show all their talent and dedication in the production of the much-loved tomato and other outstanding products in our municipality. Don’t miss the opportunity to participate in this event, which is a milestone in local agriculture”, highlighted José Renato.
