The City of Paty, through the Secretariat of Social Development, Human Rights and Housing, through the Criança Feliz Program, held the fifth Meeting of Pregnant Women. The event, held on the 19th, stands out as a tool for integrating and strengthening public policies aimed at pregnant women, early childhood children and their families.
The Happy Child Program is recognized for its fundamental role in promoting family well-being, aiming to support pregnant women and their families during the preparation for the birth of the baby and perinatal care. Furthermore, more than 300 pregnant women have already benefited from the program, contributing to the strengthening of family ties and the exercise of parenthood, reinforcing the crucial role of families in promoting child care and protection.
The meeting was attended by specialized professionals, ready to share essential knowledge. A nurse specializing in obstetric nursing from the municipal network, Stephanie Oliveira, explained questions about prenatal care, clarifying the rights and resources available in the public health network. The lawyer specializing in Obstetric Violence, Alana Barros, offered valuable insights into women’s rights during pregnancy, highlighting points that are often unknown, especially within the scope of the Unified Health System (SUS).
The Secretary of Social Development, Human Rights and Habilitation, Jeanne Teixeira, highlighted the relevance of the event for future mothers in Patia: “This meeting strengthened the bonds between pregnant women and health professionals, and also equipped women with crucial information for a healthy pregnancy and safe. The initiative reinforces our commitment to promoting the well-being and rights of pregnant women, ensuring a more prosperous future for future generations”, highlighted Jeanne.
