Murillo turned himself in to the Boulder County Jail after a warrant was issued for his arrest. He is being held without bond for sexual exploitation of a child – distribution, and sexual exploitation of a child — possession.

Police executed a search warrant on April 3 at Murillo’s home in the 4000 block of Gibbs Avenue and seized multiple electronic devices, according to the release.

Authorities investigated Murillo after the Colorado Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force received a tip about the distribution of child sex abuse material from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. Police served additional search warrants to Internet service providers and found multiple files of uploaded data in violation of sexual exploitation of a child, the release said.

Members of the Boulder County Sheriff’s Office, the Boulder County District Attorney’s Office, the Boulder Police Department, the Longmont Department of Public Safety and the Boulder Police Department SWAT team helped with the investigation
