A prescribed burn near Gross Reservoir are set to continue as early as Sunday, and areas around nearby Forsythe Canyon and Winiger Ridge remain closed to recreation, officials said in a press release.
People nearby should expect to see smoke and flames, particularly in the following areas; Lakeshore; Crescent Village; Crescent Meadows; Gross Reservoir; Walker Park Ranch; Miramonte; Wondervu; Eldorado Canyon State Park and parts of east Boulder County.
Fire crews will monitor the site and time for weather parameters such as wind speeds and fuel moisture in the area and will not start a fire unless it falls within the parameters of the approved burn plan, according to the release.
