Teresópolis – In Teresópolis, in the Serrana Region of Rio de Janeiro, a car (Volkswagen UP Red) with an engine stolen from another vehicle, in Nilópolis, in Baixada Fluminense, was seized by the Federal Highway Police (PRF). The incident took place on Rodovia Presidente Dutra (BR-116), on Thursday (25), and the 49-year-old driver was arrested.
During the action, federal highway police officers carried out traffic inspection and carried out a detailed analysis of the characters of the components that identify each vehicle. The identification signs of the car were observed on the engine and it was found that this component was not the original of the vehicle approached, as the number affixed to the engine belonged to another car reported stolen in the municipality of Nilópolis, in October 2020.
The incident was forwarded to the 110th DP (Teresópolis).
