Rio – Striker Henrique Dourado, 34, who played for Flamengo and Fluminense, is negotiating to reinforce Santos in Series B. The center forward wants to defend Peixe and the bases are negotiating a possible salary adjustment.

The São Paulo club is racing against time, as the transfer window for the first half of the year closes this Friday. Dourado played in the Campeonato Paulista for Portuguesa, entered the field in 11 matches and scored just one goal.

The striker had a lackluster spell at Santos in 2013. Dourado experienced his best moment in football in 2017, when he played for Fluminense. That year, Ceifador took to the field in 59 matches and scored 32 goals, being the Brazilian’s top scorer.

The following year, he switched from Tricolor to Flamengo and did not have the same success. In 43 matches for the Rio club, the center forward scored 14 goals and ended up being traded in 2019 to play for Henan Jianye, from China. In addition to the Fla-Flu duo, Lusa and Santos, Dourado defended Palmeiras, Cruzeiro and Chapecoense.
